I'm sitting on a 23mm journal Bulgarian 1:7 twist chrome lined 5.56 barrel right now. Just snagged some chrome lined 1:7 twist 5.56 Galil SAR barrels that are going into a pair of SAR builds.

Pretty sure the carrier is rubbing and binding on the trip bar. Way too much friction. Cycles, with a hammer.

We've been slowly grinding the trip bar thinner and thinner. Is it okay to take material off the carrier where it rides against the trip bar? How thin can we go on the trip bar?
