Is still don't understand you guys. It's just a temporary powerup, all powerups supposed to change the game flow in some way. Do you also refuse to use radsuits and berserk packs because everything looks not how you want it to look with them?
What you're saying imo is you refuse to use it because it makes the game look too much like Doom.
