My main issues with the game are flying enemies and the turn-based design combined with the inconsistent AI, and the more playtime I have, the more it saps the fun out of me.
>flying enemies have random bullshit movement, so you'll get contact damage often enough
>have to wait for them to get within reach, which takes several seconds
>they have a 50% chance to dash back and avoid your attack
>they take 4 to 6 hits, rendering sub-weapons useless and killing them with the nail too slow
>non-flying enemies have some block/dodge mechanic that you can't really outplay and speed up killing them
>on top of that AI that sometimes will attack/move twice in a row with 0.01s delay and sometimes 2s delay
>all encounters become baiting attack, doing 1 to 2 attacks then wait for the enemy to do something so you can punish, because god forbid you're allowed to play aggressive without punishment if you have the skill to do so
>once again, enemies take 4 to 6 hits to die
>there is also the inconsistent tracking/prediction with enemies projectiles or jump attacks, where sometimes they'll attack on your position and sometimes they'll do some disgusting tracking using your position on the last frame of their animation
Flying enemies were cancer on HK too, but most of them had pathetic attacks, if any at all, from what I remember, but on SS they're pretty much flying acrobats. Pic related is pretty much the difference between them on both games.
