These fucks are utterly allergic to announcing any kind of ETA or timeframe. They could have just said 'Yeah it looks like there's more issues than we bargained for with the influx of players, we're going to need to postpone launch by up to a month' and I think most would people would have at least accepted that.
Instead they keep stringing everyone along with the implication that servers could very well go up literally any moment for the last week and a half (with the constant talk of wanting to get things up ASAP and how good the 'vibes' are while refusing to commit to even a pessimistic ETA). It seems to me that they're deathly afraid of losing all of the hype they've mustered, despite all their bluster as they keep making passive aggressive comments towards the huge playerbase they've somehow gathered.
Honestly, at this point I would have probably respected them more if they just maintained that 2k cap or whatever and told everyone that couldn't get in to fuck off like they were originally planning to do (Kaytotes specifically said that that was the original plan in that one Q&A, after all). But now they're already having to backtrack from those comments and I'm kind of enjoying the schadenfreude as they realize that Kaytote's autistic choice to stay with TrinityCore when there were much better options is biting them in the ass and there's no true way out of this mess (even if they CAN maintain 5k players per server, it's still going to be a mess for years, with bugs and exploits that were solved long ago on other cores constantly being a thorn in their side, and at this point I'm not even entirely convinced they aren't genuinely coding with ChatGPT).
