overall it's a mixed bag
new settings are nice to have, and 64 bit definitely has improvements
but performance is all over the place depending on people's machines - for some it runs better, others worse
enhanced camera is nice by default but still less zoom out than the mods
the real downfall is the addition of new bugs, certain settings not working, and the fact that part of the "improved pathing" is just making unit hitboxes smaller
this means that squads can just clump up real close in combat either getting everyone killed from one AOE, or making commanders get shredded by big mobs because prior only a few units could melee them at once, now it's pretty much the whole squad
if they actually patch it pretty heavily then it will be a good candidate as a modding platform and a nice way to get the game + expansions in one bundle
until then, hold off
