>code illiterate person trying to understand AI generated code
>calls it "vibe coding"
Thats not vibe coding. Vibe coding is being completely literate in how to code, how functions, objects and syntax work, but using AI to generate the annoying parts and using your own knowledge to both guide the AI in the right direction whilst also repairing and pointing out the AI's mistakes.
What you did is what any monkey can do which is ask an AI "write me something that does X and maybe Y and Z" without even clarifying the how and other specifics
>check out the .js
I'd rather not. Why dont you pick up ""JavaScript for Dummies" and read it

>So fellow comp sci majors, how we doing?
I graduated 7 years ago and I'm doing pretty well. I feel bad for entry levels who are just graduating or just graduated but maybe its not as bad as the memes.
I was laid off last year along with a few hundred other people and they threw bricks of money at our faces to sign a severance agreement saying we couldnt work for them for another year and i picked up a new job rather quickly and am enjoying it more than my last job. 100% remote too, just like my last job.

I graduated 11 years ago so I'm actually doing pretty well. I feel bad for entry levels who are just graduating or just graduated but maybe its not as bad as the memes.
