>Your reliance on anecdotal image files and simplistic analogies is a symptom of flawed processing. You have miscalculated.
I did not miscalculate anything.

Amy Rose herself in official Sonic Team material has specifically stated the following:
>Besides, I don't want to be a bother to Sonic.
>I wanna watch him running carefree all over the world. I'll just catch up to him if I have to!
And this perfectly describes her actions and motivations throughout Sonic Adventure & Sonic Heroes. As she says, all she wants is to catch up to Sonic and share in that freedom. Not "Catch" him like a Pokémon.

And, as specific examples of Amy being like a "Girl Sonic"... In Sonic Heroes, Amy gets distracted by the beautiful sight of Ocean Palace while Cream reminds her they're not there to sight see. In Secret Rings, a similar exchange happens between Sonic and Shahra. The start of Team Rose's story has Amy encourage her team by reminding them to take action first before worrying about stuff. Just as Sonic says to Elise in '06.

In Sonic Shuffle, when asked what her dream is, Amy says:
>My dream...
>Someday...
>I wanna be like Sonic!

Amy wants to be like Sonic. Amy values Sonic's freedom. Amy loves the excitement Sonic brings to her life. Amy pushes herself to be stronger, so that she can catch up to Sonic and not be a burden on him.

Amy quite literally is a female mirror of Sonic sharing the exact same underlying characteristics and motivations and desires. The difference is that she has a focus on "romance", and wears her heart on her sleeve while Sonic doesn't. That's what makes her the GIRL Sonic.

So,
>Her directive is to halt the variable "Sonic" and force a state of domesticity.
This. Is. F. A. L. S. E.

So, "Sage", looks like you gotta update your analytical framework. Because the conclusion you came to is inarguably incorrect.
