Romances in games are unnecessary, period. They’re a completely superfluous element that gamers don’t need, created solely to attract the WEG audience and for RPG Maker porn games. If a developer ditches romances, it’s a positive sign because I’m confident they’re not wasting resources on pointless nonsense. Game development always comes down to time and resources, and it’s better to spend those on the main campaign and additional quests than on making game dolls kiss. The absence of romances is a sign of a good game.
