I can see that, he was one of the early and consistent sources of wackiness throughout the series, so his tone would fit perfectly fine. I don't think anyone from the main cast would fit nearly as well, with the exception of maybe someone like the dorkpire for being a relatively more silly character than the others. It's very easy to imagine her being in a Michiru-esque situation and getting caught up in Aroma's whirlwind.
