Obviously. Time travellers can only tweek history, they can’t fully changed everything about it. If a Time traveller tried to kill Hitler or any historical figure (which I’m sure many have tried) universal effects would kick in preventing that and the individual would face severe problems and end up either dead, in jail, lost in the wilderness or trapped in some place like a mental hospital. Not because there is a conspiracy but because the universe won’t allow huge differences between Timelines, only slight variation.

This is why if you simply work towards great things, nothing can get in your way other than small annoyances and minimal changes, but not big things because you are making yourself important to the story and thus become invincible.

Understanding the truth about Time travel teaches you how to operate without needing to Time travel yourself. You just do what a Time traveller would do but operate within your Timeline having the sand exact effect (but actually better) than if you really were one because unlike a Time traveller you are making yourself impossible to beat due to the fact that you are necessary to the story.
