Ironic isn't it. I think the argument here is why is it there in the first place (with the absurdity of the lengths you have to get it in the first place, to back that up), rather than contemplating actually doing it.
A good amount of people buy games with sole intention to 100% them, especially small indie games like whatever OP is talking about. Casting as wide of a net as possible without detracting from your intended game experience. If the Dev makes that net smaller, even for OP, he's missing a sale. If he didn't want sales, the game would be free otherwise.
The Dev sounds like a retard and OP can always just not do the achievement. Anyone new looking into this game and seeing a theoretically impossible achievement is going to be deterred away.
