## The People’s Charter for Honest Democracy
We the People, recognizing that democracy falters when corrupted by secrecy, money, and lies, declare that government, justice, and information must be restored to the light. This is not censorship. This is not control. This is accountability — the guarantee that power cannot be bought, that facts cannot be falsified, and that public service is a duty, not a path to private gain. To oppose these principles is to defend corruption, secrecy, and dishonesty against the people.
### I. Truth in Politics
* Public servants shall not knowingly make false claims about verifiable facts — such as election dates, official statistics, financial records, or how they voted. Any who oppose this stand for the right to lie to the people.
* Opinions, predictions, and values remain free speech. Only objective, falsifiable facts are bound by this rule.
* Enforcement rests with an Independent Verification Commission, composed of ordinary citizens chosen like jurors, supported by nonpartisan experts.
* Penalties:
* Deliberate lies disqualification from office or candidacy.
* Honest errors mandatory public correction with equal reach as the original claim.
* Those who resist this principle reveal their loyalty to deceit over democracy.
