Someone based, hybrid mana is cool as fuck.
If you mean how it's organized it's based on the WUBRG color order from and has basically always been the rule. Using this card as an example.
Blue comes before black so the hybrid mana has the top-left as blue and the bottom-right as black. It's an inbetween of blue and black so it goes before the black pip.
Black pip is next in wuBrg.
Then similar to the first hybrid mana black is before red so it's split left to right accordingly and the placed after the black.
Think of hybrid mana symbols like half steps between WUBRG.
Enemy color pairs are a little funky and they go by which direction on the wheel is a shorter distance and attempt to skip a color but organized similarly based on the left most color in hybrid like pic.
Red comes before green in wubRG so it comes before the green pip.

Very early on in the game they just did whatever and in rare cases like cpt. america they reorganize them for flavor reasons.
