Yup. The world is just a giant tournament where random luck of the universe awards certain players inherent advantages, and we shamelessly latch onto these players and/or try to beat them in hopes of acquiring resources of our own. Some smug people will say "hah filtered, you're just weak". But even if you have the very best genetics, what's the point when society selects for ruthless competition? Eventually our civilization will be completely devoid of empathy, cooperation, and trust. And there is no upper cap to any of it; there is no point where you achieve "ultimate genetics" that ends the tournament. The cycle of suffering will always be around. I'm convinced a realm with limited resources like ours is inherently evil.
