The human psychology makes perfect sense when you think about it.
I'll provide you a few examples, if you studied Arabic poetry like we did in highschool you'd remember some ghazal poems being written about fat women, praising them for being fat like bovine (cows). Now this was because fatness back then indicated to people that you have easy access to food and that you were wealthy in a time where starvation, famine, and shortages were all too common all over the world, people were struggling to survive and you thrived, it was a status symbol. In our modern age fatness is associated with ugliness, laziness, disease, we live in a post scarcity world where even the poor can afford to be fat, it no longer is indicative of anything except sickness and laziness.
White skin used to be seen in might the same light as being tan was associated with toiling under the son in hard labour like farming or masonry that wasn't well paying or prestigious, the administrative elite class worked under roofs protected from the sun and we're the leaders of society and we'll payed, so white skin was associated with opulence, but today people prefer a tan because it indicates a healthy, outdoorsy, active lifestyle and often a social one.
Your brain does this instinctively btw.
There must be a reason this type of belly is attractive, maybe our brains think they'd be perfect mother's because if they get pregnant that layer of fat will provide protection for the baby? That's my theory.
