i truly do believe that one can do a defector starscream arc without copying dinobot's steez. you just have to 1. keep him alive and 2. just have him be more...starscream-y. you know. don't make him TOO aloof, don't make him super woobie, he's this fucking prick thats everyone has to deal with because he's a useful prick, but hopefully, HOPEFULLY. being around people who don't beat the fuck out of him and belittle him every day, will do some good for his processor
