Hello /vg/
I have been working on a game for about two years. I will try to keep the context short:
>Programmer with experience of about 10 years professionally
>Not a digital art bone in my body
>Hired a concept artist, who, in my honest opinion is perfect for my game (I like art, just cannot draw myself)
>Primary goal of the development work I do is to make sure the game is fun AND doesn't run like shit
>Is an Action Rogue-lite (sorry if you don't like that genre, still would like your opinions)
>Think of games similar to Hades
>Not using prefab 3D models, and downright refuse to
>Funded entirely by myself, I am not on any timeline, nor do I care to find shareholders for my "indie studio" because I find them to be a literal noose/dog collar+leash
I just want to make sure the game releases and people who play to enjoy it (small or large number of total players does not exactly matter to me, literally want people to on average enjoy the game).
How do I prevent it from getting fucked up? When do I create a "community" do you guys think?
