This guy is full of shit. They makes games to run on consol system requirements. That is just how the market works. If your engine runs like shit on consol hardware then nobody will use it till it does or it's just to ahead of its time and maybe next gen it will be used.
Nobody wants to design games that only run on 3000+ dollars computer or consol because you sell to a limited number of people. Nobdy in their right mind would design a game to run on 64 gigs of vram and then size it down to run on 8 - 16 gigs. i mean give me a fucking break.
