it looks like they didn't have a unified vision
player types and marketing are not a good substitute for design
if they wanted to make sports then it's way easier to just make a sports video game instead

I'm not a fan of open development because of copyright trolls and various other reasons
I highly doubt any company out there even knows how to make proper use of it
