>take oil pan off 350 vortec to replace leaking gasket
>previous owner was one of those dumbasses who uses RTV on top of the gasket so I had to scrape that mess off
>it leaks anyways hence me having to replace it, what a moron
>normally 14 bolts hold pan on except mine has 10 bolts and 4 studs with nuts
>some other parts took forever to come in so I lost track of where the studs go
>apparently I have the only engine in the world with some studs on the oil pan because no amount of searching can tell me where the studs are supposed to go or if it matters
I know one stud holds the transmission cooler bracket in place, that's easy. But the other three, I guess I'll just put them where the crossmember runs under the pan? That's the only place I can find that looks different or "special" where the studs could go instead of bolts.
Do I have in fact have a 1 of 1 motor where this is the case or does anyone know where I should put the studs?
