I think the issue is the like guilting shit is sorta like Spec Ops the Line where like its directed specifically at you and the actions you take. So like when shit is directed at you it feels a bit of an attack and Toby was very fucking hamfisted in genocide with zero like middleground between killing even a single monster locking you out of the best ending or not and genocide equating you to be worse than the main antagonist of the game who's literally a soulless husk and doesnt feel emotions.

My specific question now lines in what the fuck Mantle means in a narrative sense. Mantle is INSANELY meta being what may or may not be the Dragon Blazers game

>Kris visibly blanching when killing Hero_Axe and Hero_Scarf

Like is it to be purely a creepypasta moment of "the character comes out of the game to kill you" or is it the layers of reality between fiction and reality so to speak becoming thinner with reality or is since its all fake it doesnt matter the distinction in Deltarune and a fake video game in a game is the same as a game we're playing?
It hurts my head to think about this sorta shit.
