This one of the many things that annoys me about both die hard Democrats and Republicans voters. They always cheer on the expansion of government powers when 'their side' holds the majority of seats in the Senate an Congress and the oval office BUT then get incredibly butthurt when democracy does democracy things and their opposition takes office and uses those new established power structures to fuck with them.
Obama inherited Bush's Patriot act, Trump inherited Obama's Prism/NSA program, Biden inherited Trumps Warp speed program and lockdown powers. And soon enough some Democrat likely Gavin Newsome will inherit a world were stationing the National Guard in major cities to 'fight crime' will be normalized and guess what, they'll gladly keep that new status quo. But this is all uni party divide and conqueror the populous shit really.
Why are the American people incapable of recognizing these patterns? Is it all the corn syrup and social media doomscroll slop perhaps?
In reality the real losers aren't conservatives or liberals, it's all of us.

To respond to that I'm gonna have to stand back and begrudging play devils advocate for a moment. At least for half of his convictions levied against him by the state of New York are likely bogus because that place is corrupt as fuck and is basically a bureaucratic Mafia state were any crime is basically legal so long as you grease the right hands. As for the other half of his convictions they're all well documented and deserved, no doubt about that.
