my (slightly edited) version of Sburb goes like this;
>Minimal time paradox bullshit (lol) as setup
>Players join into game as client/server hosts in a daisy chain
>Prototype at least one Kernalsprite which gives the enemies unique traits and acts as a "level scale" mechanic depending on the number of players
>Enter medium which is basically tutorial zone for each player
>Players fuck around and learn the ropes, experiment with crafting and the basics until they reach first gate and their "land"
>Land opens up; each planet has dangerous zones to easy zones; it's literally a whole planet so it can span the entire game from early game to endgame bosses
>Each player has a Denizen Quest AND player specific quest
>Certain things have to be done to create the next universe (Gensis Frog, Scratch, Grist Hoard, etc.) these are divided up to each player in part or wholly; always thought it was weird only the Space player actually had important shit to do
>Players level up which unlocks their Aspect powers; but their Class modifies them somewhat or influences how far they can go
>As they level and get better and better gear; if they reach the requirements they can reach GOD TIER which gives them the benefits of God tier plus better control over their powers and limited immortality (this is at least well explained)
>Have to defeat the Black King to win the game, Black Queen to get the ultimate reward (i like the idea of the Black Queen being a "secret boss harder then the last boss" even if it's noncanonical)
Something like that
