I watched all of Monogatari a few years back and I consider it a solid 9, but I just rewatched the Kizumonogatari movie because I wanted to rewatch a certain scene, and good god are they autistic. They animated Araragi walking, following the metro blood trail to find Kiss Shot for like 6 minutes. 6 fucking minutes of walking with no dialogue. And then, the expressions, how exaggerated they are, Araragi behaving like a spaztic retard upon finding Kiss Shot, stumbling upon the ground, crawling, flailing around.

I can definitely see why it would put off a lot of people.
