the build up really does make it worth it though. Its not long and drawn out for padding reasons, you really feel motivated as hell by the time you get to the first match instead of "holy shit finally".

Helps that Unmei is a gigachad of a character. If he was a boring shonen protagonist then it would've fallen apart
