I think the flaming face that taunts you in every hub is meant to be Heresiarch's face. The horned protrusions on its face match the lumps of the hood on his sprite. And if you look at Korax's sprites, his face lacks them. But then the concept art in the kex vault shows Korax with the head of his sprite and the wall face, so who knows. The only real answers would have to come from the devs, if they're still around.
