It was good, it was a lot meaner than the 80s anime which toned down the manga to make it more cutesy, what the 90s anime adapted is a lot closer to the manga aside from the redesigns (which were all done by Toriyama himself who was also a writer for the show), plus Arale got naked a lot more often than in both the manga and the 80s anime so that's a plus
