is the software better now? I spent a lot of time in 2023 playing with auto support settings and results varied greatly based on part size and complexity. Either it did a bad job with supporting, was too difficult to remove the supports, generated supports over of detail, or frequently all three. The /3dpg/ "advice" of "just rotate the model 45 degrees" was not sufficient at that time.
pic related came out kind of awful, with visible layer lines after painting, and visible damage from removing supports, but I painted them anyway for some reason. Smaller scale prints, 15mm, 6mm, came out much better almost all of the time.
