Having grown up in Postwick, a town that while seemingly untouched by time yet still has access to certain modern technologies and ammenties (god bless the Pokemon world), I imagine that Victor is the sort of person who is content with what little he has, but it is ever eager to discover more. His upbringing must have been similar to a lot of folks who grew up in the countryside or the suburbs. Folks who are aware of the greater horizons out there, but that are always just out of reach from one's own grasp.
In regard to gifts, he would be terribly modest, I wager. Never asking for anything more than what is already his, deeply appreciating anything given to him. Victor could even suffer from a hint of imposter syndrome should the gift in question happen to be a little "too" grand. Little things might mean more than anything. A sentimental trinket, homely home decor, a lovely accessory... Everything being considered, I would still elect to spoil him rotten with the greatest and grandest. High-end dinners, jewelery, experiences, tech and tech accessories (every dude has a fascination with it). He deserves the best, after all, and I refuse to stop short of that! Unless he specifically requested such, at any rate.
