She stayed behind while everyone else left - why would she be singing about the place they're going to? In fact, if we assume that she knew about and sung of Halcandra's downfall in the line 'Good dreams gone so wrong', then it's a given that she wouldn't join them. So then, why is she singing about going to a new, dreamlike world if she already knows how badly their new home will turn out? Even doing this in the 'New World' song?

Only two possibilities remain - she's completely apathetic to the ultimate fate of her own people, or she's singing about a place different than Halcandra. She's a respected prophetess and apparently has enough prestige to have her own song play in the midst of one of the most monumental moments of their civilization's history; people would listen to her if they were warned. "Her song debuted according to the prophecy, the day the ship left the planet. It was played on board, giving hope to all who heard it.” We can assume she has the ears of everyone leaving the planet, and yet she chose to stay behind? Encouraging others to leave the world through cheery tracks while staying behind by herself, this attitude is completely contradictory and bizarre. Assuming that the 'Unfinished song' wasn't played for anyone and was composed on her own when everyone had already left, it could even be both possibilities as to her reasons for singing.

So then, if she's not talking about going to Halcandra, where is she talking about? Where does she want to go? The clairvoyant, the person with the ability to see eons into the future, stayed behind on her own planet, so why is she singing about traversing the stars, through time and space? In fact, why are most of the things she alludes to in her song familiar to us?
