I can see where you're coming from. I've only ever considered myself androphilic don't really know any women close enough to talk about fucking/loving trannies, but I have known a lot of guys and gotten the impression that a *lot* of them would be into trans women, estrogenated boys or even a sufficiently petite twink if it didn't carry the stigma of being gay and didn't preclude them from having a wife to bear the kids. Essentially a similar kind of arrangement that you had in ancient Greece/Rome as well a lot of other cultural contexts where homosexuality was tolerated. Don't quote me on this but the number I've seen based on anthropological studies is that in the absence of stigma about 15% of men would be functionally bisexual, but only pursuing effeminate/submissive men.
But I really don't know how that applies to women at all lol. Fujoshis are a thing that also crop up across cultures, but that doesn't necessarily map onto what they desire sexually for themselves.
