not really, i had both a 1080p 120hz monitor next to a 1440 60hz and i'd always prefer the 1080 for everything from gaming to shitposting to watching movies/tv

4k is very noticable, i now have dual 4ks oled and its just night/day difference but you need the best hardware to actually game reliably at 4k, and honestly the 16gb vram cards will become dated in a few years
