this shit doesnt work in wow and ascension is proof of it. content outside of M+, raids and arenas are irrelevant and people will blindly follow the icy veins guide for whatever is best. in games like FFXI a subjob works because jobs are incredibly limited on what they can do so players are either forced to shore up weaknesses or double down on strengths. FFXI is also overwhelmingly world content where having utility matters more than minmaxing dps
assuming this is real, its an incredible fucking flop of a design and reeks of desperation
