Even if all her fan designs are her with brown fur and brownish hair, it actually kind of makes perfect sense if she has pale fur and black hair since the knight is black and white.
Also I buy into it because Noelle is blond with brown fur, so that just leaves black hair with pale fur. It's not how genetics works, but that's always how they make the kids look in cartoons...
