Speeding through a village in excess of its posted limit is disrespecting the townspeople's right to govern the flow of traffic through their town. Doesn't matter if you were doing 85 a couple miles back. If that sign says 25, slow your ass down to 27 mph maximum. You can coast into most towns if you let off the gas a few hundred yards before the first speed reduction warning sign. Note that some states don't have warning signs for speed reductions.
