???? Chocolate grows in the tropics only. It's from México. That's in North America. Cocoa grows from the Amazon to México and the Mesoamericans were the first to domesticate the plant.
>The plant originated on American continent, this is true, but that original plant produced beans of way lesser quality and tasting experience than the modern grown one, as climate of Africa was proven to be the best and most suitable for the plant, resulting in way better quality of beans and taste of end product. It is what it is.
A lot of good quality cocoa is grown in México and Central America, like Guatemala, etc.
>Besides, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil are all in the OP's list, and all of those are technically descendants of native south Americans who prepared and used chocolate for ceremonial purposes. So, hey.
Only Mexicans.
Chileans descend from another native tribe who was nomadic and didn't grow cocoa. It doesn't grow there, it's too cold.
Brazilians descend from Africans and Euros, the few that come from natives didn't grow cocoa either.
