What's the point? She can't fight anyone if she can't see. How do they expect it to be used?

Since noone will give you a serious answer, the new armor changes work out in her favor and her new passive is no joke. If you can activate it on a group of enemies in a tight space it's going to do some serious damage and force them to move.
They clearly want her to be more aggressive now. Fits her character, I guess.
