I'll be honest. Even though Shamir is my waifu I really don't like 3H all that much. Yes the lore/world building is neat but the actual driving plot of the game is fucking retarded. Edelgard gets tortured by evil molemen who hate the church and her own country is going to shit so her solution is to wage war on the church and the other two countries who have nothing to do with it? Dimitri is a schizo retard and Claude is an irrelevant faggot. Rhea is a mommy issues boring mommy bait and Byleth is the most generic "bro he's literally me" self insert bait ever he doesn't even fucking talk unlike previous MUs from the series. The gameplay is fucking boring as shit the monastery is the most tedious unfun garbage ever, the graphics look like shit even for a Switch game, the character design is generally garbage since in part 1 everyone is wearing the uniforms, I have zero attachment to any of these fuckhead "students" of mine that are just as quirk chungus as people hate Engage characters for yet you're forced to use them because the cast of the game is so damn small if you're not cross class recruiting which is another pain in the ass.
Yes I will admit that if Shamir was in another game she'd have probably not been my waifu since she only exists thanks to 3Hs lore/writing so I am thankful for that but if she wasn't in the game I would think it sucks shit.
Engage was actually fun to play, it looked good, Somniel wasn't a slog to do in between chapters, the one thing it lacked was a "deep" story but even the story it had wasn't bad, it was just cheesy so you had to not have the faggot 3Htard mindset of "Fire Emblem is a serious game for serious gamers like myself" that retarded deluded themselves into thinking the series was about despite the first game having a loli dragon companion.
