Blizzard really hasn't learned anything from the Dota nonsense.
Blizzard and Activision likely lost trillions of dollars after losing the rights to the community-developed Dota mod.
Now, they're losing thousands of players to private servers that are far better than the bot and gold seller infested Classic servers. (This also applies to retail, but Blizzard themselves are the ones selling most of the gold.)
