To be honest, I never was bothered by Roger, Whitebeard, and least of all the Scabbards when it came to Oden. Whitebeard rejected Oden multiple times and even humiliated him through trials. Roger only asked because Oden was the only one in the world that he knew of who could read the Poneglyphs, and Roger was dying mind you. Scabbards are a nothingburger, of course these homeless Wano jobbers are gonna look up to the decently strong Shogun.
