xv got all its canon dlc released in 2017
the only thing cancelled was a bonus round of non canon alternate timeline dlc that was never even initially planned and only got greenlit in 2018
and then only was cancelled because tabata left SE in September 2018 before any work beyond script on the 3 non canon dlc had even started, episode ardyn was only even getting made due to fan demand

the luminous staff literally got promoted and the lead luminous guy Aramaki is now head of the new engine developmrnt division and in charge of SE's in house engine which is Luminous engine
he's literally the head of the entire engine division and in feb 2025 confirmed they're still doing it with luminous engine
