>He is more than happy to take yer kids' ID and censor shit; the OSA gives him not just encouragement but COVER with their online harms bullshit, even if it wasn't intended. Elon is not on the side of free speech he can't make money off, and anyone who believes that he is, is sorely mistaken.
And this is the crux of the issue here. The big tech conglomerates love these pieces of legislation (and probably has some hand in lobbying for them since both the EU and the US are working on their own versions) because it forces people to register on their site and provide an ID. Xitter doesn't exist out of the goodness of Elon's heart, it's there to datamine you like every other big tech social media site does. This is the reason why all the big tech social media sites now forces you to register to view their content, sometimes giving letting you view one page before popping up the mandatory registration plate.

You really know how far 4chan have fallen when retards like anon here suddenly think social media is great because he can post the Austrian painter and be based or whatever. Big tech is not your friend, social media ruined the internet, Elon is just duping faggots like you into accepting big tech social media full spectrum dominance because you're sheep who follows the heard if the heard is "based" enough.
The end goal isn't even going to be mandatory age checks, it's going to be locking down the internet and turning it into cable TV where you only have access to FCC-approved websites that you buy as a package from your ISP, all of which will be big tech megacorp sites.
