Model kits tend to be quite stable depending on how well you put them together.

As for how you play with them, you play with them like you would with a hot wheels car or any toy that doesn't have much articulation. Or you can just display them as statues.

The other thing is that most model kits tend to be alot cheaper compared to in the west. They also come in alot more variety. If you go to your local hobby shop and look at model kits for cars you'll most likely see popular mainstream super cars or classic muscle cars or import tuners (Porsche 911, Ferrari F40, Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, Nissan Skyine, Toyota Supra). In a Japanese model shop you'll find all those plus literally so many other kinds of vehicles and those would just be like cars.

You can find entire stores in Tokyo dedicated to selling a single kind of model kit or they will have entire floors dedicated to a single thing (military on one floor, regular cars on another, gundam on another).

Shadow Striker got the same treatment. Her figure is mostly a homage to the old Sideburn toy from RID and only partially resembles her Cyberverse look (and not even the repaired form she has for most of the show but her original undamaged design).

>very few have nostalgia for unicron trilogy
Maybe in the west but I've seen alot of japanese fans be nostalgic over Legend of the Microns, Superlink and Galaxy Force.
