Yeah, mint grows like a weed. Something like cloves would be even better, but cloves are very difficult to grow, and although they can be bought for cheap, herbs and spices you can buy for cheap are often tainted with heavy metals. There is a higher threshold allowed for spices because it's assumed you would only use a small amount sprinkled on some food or something. That's not even getting in to the eay they are stored, which lowers their efficacy and gets them contaminated with rat feces and various insects.
