I understand the reasons for it but I'm still terribly annoyed Tynan's fix for adding children was to make them grow 4x as fast, instead of making everything else take 4x as long. all your children wind up reaching adulthood at the same time with the growth rate fuckery, even if they're born years apart. Unavoidable because of the way the game works, but still annoying.
