I have a fringe theory based upon the NPC theory. I don't think it'll actually be used or is true, but was just thinking of what would be the bleakest reveal ending for the cast. What if the Circus is a therapy tool?
>Pomni is having trouble in her life with the day to day grind and has been even considering suicide.
>That's when she hears about this specialist with an experimental treatment.
>Human Pomni goes to the office and puts on a headset.
>She gets a full brain scan and then takes it off.
>Pomni is born in the circus and the series happens.
>All the trauma.
>All the pain.
>All the fear and uncertainty and hopelessness.
>But also the growth and the relationships and the eventual actualization.
>Then Pomni finds the 'Exit'
>When she opens it, she steps through and can only see a screen.
>It's her.
>Human her. And she's speaking to directly at us?
>"Thank you so much doctor! Watching all of that helped me so much! It was like I got to confront all my trauma and pain through a window and it made it so much easier! I'm just happy to close the book on this chapter of my life!"
>Pomni had turned on the webcam of the laptop computer without them noticing.
>The last thing she sees of the outside world is herself happy and better as she watches the laptop case close.
>She's dumped back into the Circus foyer with this knowledge none of the others know.
>"Heya Pomni! You look like you could use someone to talk to..?"
>Pomni just makes a smile like she did in the pilot... And then abstracts.
If we're being real about the whole "Colorful I Have No Mouth" thing.
