I miss when magazines were independent curated by passionate people and not just some person that went to journalism school, played some games as a kid and then joined some company that needed someone for their just opened "Gamers Corner."
Gaming magazines still exist today but they are held up more by a corporation than folks running on donations. Although some obscure ones still exist as well in non-US American countries
