almost anyone talking that degree of shit about gameplay and saying words like "gameplay design" is being a pretentious retard at worst, a total shallow minded sub-midwit at best, or someone that outrageously overestimates the depth and complexity of something for whatever stupid reason
unironically theres a reason why people who actually make videogames rarely ever talk in places like that, specially openly. i love being autistic about vidya but for some reason people in most fanbases are just way too retarded. i used to get mad at devs refusing to talk and sticking to their private groups for it but these days i cant blame them. almost every discussion about these action games ends up so black-and-white, or people being so incapable of nuance, or whatever.
Not to mention some people being absolutely clueless about actually making games for some reason, not out of "having no experience with games" but rather just sucking at imagination and applying rational thought, its annoying as fuck and it goes both ways. People often mention retards that think things are easy and that it isnt an absolute PITA to shoehorn features the game wasnt remotely built around, but you also constantly have people vastly overestimating how much effort things take and parroting shit like "but the devs' budget! but their effort! etc" to try to shut down almost any argument even when its completely retarded and they are talking about something comically easy to implement, or far below the scope/complexity of other existing features
least you can do is make my own stuff and surround myself with people that also actually make games, either that or just seek out a friend group for it. then hopefuly one day you find yourself surrounded by people where you can actually have nuanced conversations about videogame autism with
