Why is SPV2 so loved but SPV3 is hated? Aren't they the same mod but 2 would theoretically have less features? Never got to play 2 so not sure how much different it is but I would prefer a modded campaign with more changes to vanilla CE as possible, otherwise I would just play vanilla CE if it was too similar to the original. It's the reason I haven't been able to get through Ruby's Rebalance. It doesn't change enough to look and feel that much different from CE, but SPV3 feels like a brand new game which is more exciting to warrant another playthrough. It doesn't matter if it's objectively worse than vanilla, it's the fact that it feels completely different and fresh which makes it interesting.

Was there an SPV1? Was that any good? I imagine it would have been similar to Ruby's Rebalance, especially if they didn't change the textures/models for everything.
