Saying it HAS is the aforementioned forcing of the issue. This game isn't a stranger to mediocre expansion stories or key questionable decisions within expansions thought of as good, yet some people believe Dawntrail killed their families and actually vaginally raped the game in front of them. To the point they ignore every update and continue obsessing over 7.0. The game is as said not unfamiliar with mediocre stories or key bad decisions, but the reaction to Dawntrail is VERY unorthodox by the game community's standards, and it doesn't actually do anything to warrant such a reaction from some people.

"Dawntrail doesn't actually do anything" is something I can kind-of agree with, but that's not only so far removed from the reaction as to be a completely separate conversation, it doesn't explain or excuse the reaction.
